Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 July 2026 · Version 1.1
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Sikker Software ("we", "us"), the business operating Tech Professor, governing your use of the Tech Professor web app, API and MCP server (the "Service"). Sikker Software is based in Denmark. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Tech Professor is a code-aware learning platform that generates quizzes, walkthroughs and flashcards from repositories, docs and sites, and provides related team, sharing and tutoring features. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and API tokens.
- You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent in your country.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use at privacy@tech-professor.com.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the repositories, documents and other material you connect or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and the people you share it with — including sending relevant excerpts to the AI provider you select in order to generate learning material. You are responsible for having the rights to use any content you connect.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe others' rights (including IP and privacy);
- Upload malware, or attempt to breach, probe or disrupt the Service;
- Access data or accounts that are not yours, or bypass access controls;
- Reverse engineer, resell or abuse the Service or its rate limits;
- Use the Service to generate unlawful, harmful or infringing material.
5. Third-party integrations
The Service connects to third parties such as GitHub and AI providers (Claude, OpenAI, Cursor). Your use of those is also governed by their terms, and you are responsible for the keys and permissions you grant. We are not responsible for third-party services.
6. Plans, billing & refunds
Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. Fees, billing cycles and any free tier are described at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel effective at the end of the current period. Except where required by law or stated at purchase, fees are non-refundable.
7. Intellectual property
The Service itself — software, design, branding and content we provide — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer any of our IP to you.
8. Availability & changes
We aim for a reliable Service but provide it "as is" and do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service, and will give reasonable notice of material adverse changes where practicable.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to us. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) continue.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated material may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, and the Danish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we will revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in-app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
